Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about City View High School answered

Is City View High School tuition-free?
Yes — completely. City View High School, including the City View NOW online program, is a tuition-free public charter high school serving Phoenix, AZ, and Arizona students statewide. Any Arizona resident student who meets eligibility requirements can attend at no cost to their family.
Who can enroll at City View High School?
City View High School serves two student groups. The in-person Phoenix campus serves students ages 13–21 who need a structured, supportive school environment with smaller class sizes and face-to-face teacher support. City View NOW — our fully online program — serves Arizona students ages 16–21 who need a flexible schedule to earn their high school diploma or high school degree. Both programs are open to Arizona residents at no cost.
Can students catch up on credits here?
Yes. Credit recovery is one of the primary reasons families choose City View. Students can earn up to 8 credits per year toward their high school diploma — compared to 6 at most traditional Phoenix-area schools. Whether your student is a few credits behind or significantly off track, our advisors will build a personalized graduation plan showing exactly which credits they need and the fastest path to get there.
How long does the enrollment process take?
The enrollment process typically takes a few days from initial contact to confirmed start date. After you reach out, our Phoenix, AZ admissions team will contact you — usually within one business day — to walk your family through document collection, eligibility review, and program selection. City View accepts students year-round, so there's no need to wait for a new semester to begin.
Can I visit the campus before enrolling?
Yes. School visits are available by appointment at our Phoenix, AZ campus — located at 649 N. 6th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003 inside the ACYR building in central Phoenix. Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Contact us to schedule a visit and one of our team members will show you around and answer any questions your family has before enrolling.
Who should I contact if I have questions about enrollment?
You can reach our Phoenix, AZ admissions team by phone at 602-252-6721, by email, or by filling out the contact form on this page. Our team is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Whether you have a quick question about eligibility or want to walk through the full enrollment process step by step, we're here to help.
My student has struggled in traditional school. Can City View help?
Yes — this is exactly who City View High School is built for. As one of Phoenix's leading alternative high school options, City View provides smaller classes, a structured supportive environment, and a team that genuinely invests in every student's success. Whether your student has fallen behind on credits, disengaged from a traditional school, or simply needs a different approach — City View offers a real path to earning their high school diploma or degree.
Does City View offer an online option for students who can't attend in person?
Yes. City View NOW is a fully online high school program for Arizona students ages 16–21 who need flexibility. Students complete coursework online at their own pace with real teacher support, structured academic monitoring, and a personalized graduation plan — all working toward a real Arizona high school diploma. City View NOW is open to students across Arizona, not just the Phoenix area. For students who can attend in person, our Phoenix campus offers a structured 4-day school week with small classes and dedicated teachers.
